Maurice Jones-Drew has finally decided to end his holdout and return to the Jaguars. He thinks he did the right thing by trying to get more money and violate his contract. This is nothing more than greed and shows his lack of integrity in not honoring his contract. He?s not a team player ? he?s been letting his teammates and fans down and has become a poor role model.
Selfish young man
I read the article about Maurice Jones-Drew, who has finally returned to the Jaguars. I read about a money-hungry professional football player who has cured no illnesses, performed no surgery, invented nothing, fought in no war, saved no lives and flew no spacecraft to the moon. This selfish young man nevertheless makes almost as much money in one week as the president makes in one year. Even though he?s already contracted for a certain amount of money, he demanded more, has ?no regrets? for his actions and would do it again. Hopefully the Jaguars leadership will remember his words and actions. They should also collect every penny of the ?$1.2 million? that he owes in fines.
Interviews spoil game
Too much time was spent by the sports announcers last Thursday night interviewing personnel to the detriment of providing play-by-play coverage. At multiple times during the game, five to six plays were run by the Jaguars and during that time frame all you heard was a continuation of the interviews. Please leave the interviews to between plays or do so only during pre- or post-game coverage. Viewers want to see and hear the game.
