LONDON (AP) -The Football Association is investigating allegations that a player was racially abused by spectators during an FA Cup second-round match.
Macclesfield manager Steve King complained that his captain, Nat Brown, was called a monkey by some fans of non-league side Barrow as he came out for the second half of Tuesday's game.
The FA says "we are now liaising with both clubs and the police."
The teams will meet for a replay on Dec. 29 after Tuesday's match finished 1-1.
It is the latest allegation of racism to blight the English game, following more high-profile incidents involving Chelsea captain John Terry and Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, among others.
